Life Science Center Mainz

Since 1987, the LZM has been actively shaping the innovation and start-up ecosystem in Rhineland-Palatinate and the metropolitan region around Mainz. As a central point of contact for start-ups in life sciences and biotechnology, it plays a key role at the interface between science and industry. The LZM actively supports scientific talent, researchers, and academic innovation projects on their path to spin-offs, thus creating an essential link between excellent research and entrepreneurial implementation.

With individual consulting, support programs, training opportunities, events, and targeted network access, the LZM supports the successful development of science-based innovations. A particular highlight is the Life Science Incubator [LiSci]RLP, where innovative life science concepts are specifically developed and expanded into viable startups.

Biovation RLP is the state-wide network for biotechnology and life sciences and forms another central pillar of the LZM. Within this structure, the focus topics of bioeconomy, talent retention, and cross-innovation are promoted—areas that shape the thematic diversity of the LZM and provide important impetus for the future viability of Rhineland-Palatinate as a location for innovation.

As an established partner of scientific institutions and a cooperation partner in the CurATime science cluster, the LZM strengthens the visibility of the regional scientific landscape and promotes its national and international networking.
