Artificial Intelligence in the Academic World: Opportunities, Risks, and Ethical Concerns

Join us for a public Fishbowl Discussion with AI experts and researchers to explore the opportunities and challenges AI brings to academic work.

Key questions include:

• Should the use of AI in research be regulated?
• How can we ensure ethical standards and research integrity in an AI-driven environment?
• How does AI-generated creativity differ from human creativity?

In the fishbowl format, one chair in the discussion circle remains open—allowing audience members to join the conversation at any time.

Time and Place: 17.11.2025, 18:00 in the Alte Mensa on the JGU Campus in Mainz
Target Audience: All interested individuals are welcome to attend and take part in this important discussion. The Fishbowl Discussion will be held in English.

Good to know: Between the Workshop and the fish bowl discussion as well as after it there will be the possibility of furthering the dialogue in the context of a get together.
